Gracie: sweet as pie

I was thrilled when Tram and Calin contacted us for a family photo shoot. They recently had a daughter, Gracie and she is the cutest little baby. Though we started off with a sleepy baby, Gracie soon woke up and was fascinated by the camera or maybe it was the sound of the shutter in the camera. Either way, she was a sweetie, don’t you think?

Since the sun was out that afternoon, we continued the photo shoot at a nearby park. We found ourselves surrounded by beautiful orange and brown leaves. Living in the Pacific Northwest, you truly get to see and feel all of the four seasons.

Tram, Calin and Gracie – Thank you for letting us spend a lovely afternoon with you!

Jessica+Chad: EMP and that other Seattle landmark

Jessica and Chad wanted to do a fun and colorful photoshoot and I immediately thought of EMP and Seattle Center. We wanted to get the shoot in before the infamous Seattle rain settled in so, on a warm, late summer evening, we headed out to EMP and Seattle Center. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect and Jessica and Chad came in shirts that matched the EMP’s walls – I knew we were off to a good start.

Arlene+Todd: engagement session

My favorite time of day to shoot is about 2 hrs before sunset (if we’re lucky enough to have sunny weather in Seattle). At that time, the sun’s not as harsh (as opposed to noon) and we get a nice orange glow which adds some drama to the photos. Unfortunately for us, summers are really short in Seattle, so we gotta take advantage of these days while we can.

I really don’t have much to add, so here are some of the shots we took:

Congratulations, Arlene & Todd!
